The Proof!
Outstanding Results on Most Surfaces |
• |
BTech Graffiti Barrier was applied to
one half of each of the materials one day
prior to graffiti being applied (except
the painted sample which was given two weeks
to cure). Graffiti was then removed day
after the graffiti application. |
• |
Graffiti materials consisted of automotive
quick drying aerosol paints (red, yellow,
black and silver), Texta inks (black and
blue) and jumbo-sized permanent markers. |
• |
Removal was made using a
hot water pressure system. |

BTech Graffiti Barrier
has been applied to the top right hand diagonal
side. Bottom left hand diagonal side is
untreated. |
|
|
|
After cleaning with hot
water (700C) delivered at 1000 psi, graffiti
has disappeared from the area protected
with BTech Graffiti Barrier.
The remaining graffiti on the unprotected
area was then treated with BTech
Graffiti Heavy Duty Remover and
washed away with high-pressure hot water
(70¾C) at 1000 psi. |
|
|
|
|
|
Right hand side is left
untreated. BTech Graffiti Barrier
has been applied to left hand side. |
|
|
|
All graffiti disappears
from treated side using high-pressure hot
water (70¾C at 1000 psi). Even further pressure
at 3000 psi (only advisable on very hard
surfaces such as brick) applied to the untreated
side does not remove Texta marks. Texta
marks were easily removed after treatment
with BTech Graffiti Remover.) |

|
|
Top block is left untreated.
The two blocks below are first sealed with
BTech Graffiti Sealer (required
treatment for any highly porous surface
such as Besser block, sandstone, Heber brick,
etc.) BTech Graffiti Barrier
is then applied. |
|
|
|
All graffiti disappears
from the two treated bricks at the bottom,
using high-pressure hot water (70¾C at 1000
psi). Remaining graffiti can only removed
after applying BTech Graffiti Remover. |

The three pickets on the
right were left untreated. The five pickets
on the left were treated with BTech
Graffiti Barrier. |
|
|
|
The treated pickets are
restored to their original state with the
use of high-pressure hot water (70¾C at
1000 psi). The untreated pickets on the
right required treatment with BTech
Graffiti Remover before graffiti
would wash off. |

The left hand side of this
laminated timber was painted with satin
gloss acrylic water-based paint. The right
hand side was painted with exterior enamel.
The panels were left to dry and cure outside,
under cover for two weeks. |
|
|
|
The treated panels were
effectively cleaned with hot water at 70¾C
at a pressure of 800 psi (lower than for
other surfaces to avoid damage to paint
surface).
The untreated panels required treatment
with BTech Graffiti Remover before
graffiti would wash off.
It was observed that the water based acrylic
paint adsorbed more graffiti than the enamel
and was therefore more resistant to removal. |
